Your Voice in Detroit

Detroit’s Dirty Deeds was created to expose the taking of property rights and land for the development of solar energy farms. A deed is how property is transferred. We witnessed firsthand how the City of Detroit’s deeds were neither just or fair; through new laws and partnerships with DTE Energy.

As we dug deeper into how this happened, decades‑long pattern became impossible to ignore: abandoned neighborhoods, disinvestment in lower‑income communities, and a systematic lack of protection for residents. These conditions weren’t accidental. They were engineered leaving Detroiters vulnerable to displacement, foreclosure, and eminent domain for profit, not public benefit.

We stand with Detroit’s residents and homeowners. We share trusted information, so you know your rights and your right to know what’s happening in your government and your community. We follow the law and the money to ask the real question:

Who gets the power — and who pays the price?

"Helped me understand my rights quickly."
